A data visualization piece illustrating the ripple effects of increasing wild fires in Washington state over the past two decades.  




Poster 01

The first poster, Fire Season, examines the impact that wildfires have had on air quality in washington state. Every year is assigned an orb, and the size of these orbs proportionally correspondes with the amount of days air quality index rating of unhealthy or worse during that year.







Poster 02

The second poster, Memory of a Tree, takes a look at the impact of wildfires at a micro scale, specifically how its impacts are remebered and felt by a tree. The infographic features a cross section of a tree trunk, showing how its rings tell a story.
